PRINCIPLE
Two interventions can be considered:
- In the event of a small round belly with light surplus of skin: (just below the navel)
liposuction and resection of skin are associated, which makes it possible to retighten it while degreasing the belly. The incision is small, at the base of the pubic hairs and the follow up is in general fast. Duration of the intervention: 1 hour to 1 hour 30. Hospitalization from 24 H to 48 hours is recommended. Back to work from the 8th day.
- If the belly is much damaged with a surplus of grease and skin:
A complete abdominal plastic surgery then is practised. It enables reshaping of the waist, to refine the silhouette by rebuilding the abdominal belt (intervention on the muscular stockade). The incision is a case per case situation: horizontal (above the pubis from a bone of the basin to the other) or vertical, or both associated. The scar attenuates gradually into 1 to 2 years. The intervention requires 3 days of hospitalization.
DURATION OF the STAY IN TUNISIA
To make of the intervention a success, we advise you to remain during 14 to ideally 21 days, to carry out post - surgical control, as well as the lymphatic drainages. The hospitalization lasts from 3 to 4 days.
THE FOLLOW UP
the threads are dissolved by themselves. During the first 4 weeks, or more, you will have to wear a containing sheath. In the first days after the intervention, the lymph discharge generally appears and lasts up to 15 days. Your belly may be thin-skinned during several weeks before you recover normal feelings. The scar regresses gradually during the 2 years which follow the intervention.
THE RESULT
If the result is generally excellent, the quality of the scar depends on the skin and traction to be realized. If the scar remains anaesthetic after 1 year, a small final improvement can better it.
The complications, not very frequent, are primarily flows of lymph discharge during the 8 days following the intervention, a trouble which is generally settled in 15 days.
These interventions often allow a better general static position. The final result can be obtained from 6 months to 1 year.
